During the 7th RENPER International Seminar at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in November 2016, the presidential election should be held for the 2016-2018 period. However, because council members present did not reach the quorum, the election was postponed and held at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Kelantan, Malaysia. In April 2017, a new president was elected. Dr. Ridwan Nurazi, SE., M.Sc., agreed on a Council Meeting held at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Kelantan, Malaysia, in April 2017, becoming President RENPER 2017-2019. In the two-year period, the new council structure was established as follows:
